A few years ago I decided to quit my job and do what I am passionate about i.e. baking, and experimenting with premium ingredients I could get my hands on. I find it very satisfying when I mix a few ingredients
together, and the end result is something unbelievably delicious. Some time ago I visited Paris and had a chance to sample the local desserts and interact with a few of the dessert chefs, and post the same I knew that I wanted to focus on good quality French Pastries which I feel is missing from our local menu and with that thought I came across the idea to start ‘Confiteria’ which is derived from the word Spanish word for Candy Store. My idea is to create simple but delectable confections that enable people to explore the most important sense god has gifted us, the sense of taste. My knowledge and experience comes from my passion in exploring new cuisines, and styles of baking. For the past few years I have been honing my skills in the kitchen and with the help of my family and friends who have been my willing test subjects, and through the same experimentation I have been finalizing my menu. Being part of the 21st century has enabled me to access the best recipes and ingredients from across the globe, and while doing my experiments I have tweaked the recipes to create items which are unique and flavorful.
