New Capital Bakery

In 1965, Late Sh. Hari Chand Thakur moved to Chandigarh with an idea of setting up his own kiosk where he could serve baked products, one of the skills he mastered during very young age. He baked delicious bread and cakes at this kiosk, which quickly became popular and talk of the town. Soon demand for his freshly baked tasty goodies grew tremendously, which motivated him to scale-up his business and required to set up his own bakery.He started New Capital Bakery 50 years ago from chandigarh Sec-8.

To meet growing demand of their baked goodies, his son Sh. Rakesh Thakur joined the family business with new ideas, skills and baking technology. Later on, taking business to next level, he set up his own bakery as “New Capital Bakery” at Sec-21 Chandigarh.

Today, New Capital Bakery is run by “Abhay Thakur”, the third generation of bakers in the family. Abhay completed his graduation in HM, and is accompanied by a mighty team of passionate bakers, who all are highly skilled in making all types of breads, cakes, pastry, cookies and wide range of baked and confectionery items.
