Thank you to everyone who came today at Waterford Harvest Festival for a bit of zero waste cooking with our good friends Wayne & Krisztina The Olive Cafe | fresh eats | specialty coffee | Waterford and Richard Taste Waterford!

Tomorrow (Sunday), we’re back on stage with Keith Boyle with some incredible local produce from Barefoot Farm | Organically Grown Salads Mahon Valley Milk and Grantstown Tomatoes - and if you swipe, you’ll get a little sneak preview of something we’re maple smoking in preparation for tomorrow. Come enthusiastic and hungry. 1pm 😉

We have a busy weekend ahead! You’ll find us on stage at 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday. This means we’ll be closing early on Saturday to get ready to be on stage an hour later. We hope to see as many of you there as can make it - we’ll be aiming to bring samples 😉

Taste Waterford Kitchen Demo Line-Up at Waterford Harvest Festival

Join Taste Waterford this Saturday, 5 September, in John Roberts Square for a full day of live cooking demonstrations, local food stories and delicious tastings.

From mushrooms and chocolate to artisan baking, organic produce, hotel cuisine and handcrafted cookies, the programme showcases some of Waterford’s fantastic food and drink producers.

Wayne and Krisztina Halloran from The Olive Café and David Foskin and Silvia Salvana of Sunny South Yeast Bakery & Catering have been steadily raising the profile of quality food and service over the past few years.

They’ll combine their love for bread and offering an outstanding menu to produce a sourdough dish that packs flavour, looks amazing – and showcases local.

And with a chance to try the food, you’ll appreciate just why people head back to these stand out destinations again and again.

A bit of news from us, this coming week, we’re getting married! As we have a couple of extra things to do that aren’t work related, our opening hours will be a little bit different for the week ahead. On Thursday, we’ll have a smaller menu focusing on sourdough and coffee, but we’ll try to have some sweet pastries and doughs ready too for the shorter morning 😉 thanks folks!
