We’ll be closing a little bit early tomorrow morning (Tuesday) folks, as we have a couple of extra bookings and also some staff training planned. We’ll still be fully stocked with fresh sourdough and sausages rolls from 8 as always though. Our usual Wednesday to Saturday 8am-2pm hours apply for the rest of the week.

NEW special coming up this Friday and Saturday, after .tonti.photo put notions in our heads 😂 black sourdough made with activated charcoal. You’ll find it has a different texture and flavour… if you get in to us in time to try one 😉

We’ve been on a bit of a health kick in the bakery since January as we’ve changed up our menu quite a bit. We’ve also continued to try to use the best quality ingredients and cut down on travel miles too - on that note, we’ll have something new in the bakery starting tomorrow morning!

These oat bites by BiaSol foods are incredibly tasty, and a great grab and go healthy snack in the mornings (or late at night… we have sampled quite a few already 😅) - and our favourite thing about them is when you look at the very short list of ingredients this Irish business uses to produce them. They’re nutrient packed (13g of fibre per bar) and made using upcycled grains. We look forward to you enjoying these too 😉

A wonderful post from our lovely neighbours! There’s already a variety of reasons to drop down to visit them, and why not bring a grilled sandwich along with you why you while you enjoy the beautiful space they have 😉

After our meitheal in April, Sunny South Yeast gave our volunteers a discount on coffees and cakes! We very much appreciated these yummy treats after a day of hard work. 💪🪏🪴🍰☕️

They’re also spreading the good word about us. Next week, we’ll welcome our first new volunteer of the 2026 season (who was recommended to us by Sunny South Yeast!).

We popped in to introduce ourselves last week and thank Dave, Silvia, and the Sunny South Yeast team for being such good neighbours and pals. Drop in for a sourdough loaf or a light bite next time you find yourself on Barrack Street! 💛

*You’re welcome to bring snacks and coffees to enjoy at our covered picnic tables during the opening season, as long as you clean up after yourselves and follow our rules. There’s no bin at the garden (to discourage litter and dumping), so be prepared to take all rubbish with you. Thanks! 🙏💙🤍
