Well I've decided to blow the dust off this page and start posting again. In this strange time whilst we're all staying at home, why not drag out all your old cook books and try some new recipes, get the kids involved - what's better than baking cakes and biscuits and eating them warm from the oven..?😃. I've made this quick batch of cheese scones - 20 minutes from getting the ingredients together and pulling gorgeous, warm cheesy scones out of the oven - we're having them with soup! As you may know, I am a paramedic intern now and on behalf of all my colleagues going off to work, never knowing what we're going to be faced with...Staying at home will keep you safe, and wash your hands!🚑

This was a surprise, I was contacted yesterday by a lady in Edinburgh asking if I could bake and deliver something to a friend of hers living in Gurteen for his birthday. I was at work until 8pm so knew I couldn't really make anything particularly complicated as she wanted it for today. Thankfully, Mary Berry came to my rescue - I used her recipe for shortbread and a lemon drizzle cake. They were made and delivered by 11am today. I hope John enjoyed this thoughtful gift from his friend Noreen 😁

I know it's been ages since I last posted on this page, I started a new job as a student paramedic and have had a manic few weeks. I usually bake something for my classmates but haven't taken any photos lately - I have made St Patrick's day brownies, chocolate peanut butter cookies, regular cookies and regular brownies but by far the most popular was the jammie bodger cookies I made a couple of weeks ago....they were requested for this week too - we have our second lot of exams tomorrow and sugar will be required....!!🙂 I was also asked if I could make jaffa cakes... well, thanks to Mary Berry I managed them too😊

Well, as I've done for the last 4 years I made a cake for Boyle Musical Society's production, this year it was The Addams Family. This 3 tiered cake had one coffee, one vanilla and a chocolate layer and it seemed to go down well 😁
