After thinking long and hard for a few months, I've made the decision to not make a reappearance at the Strandhill People's Market when it reopens in March.
I'll be concentrating on what I used to do, managing a cafe!
On the plus side, I will be doing some baking for the cafe, so you will still be able to get breads etc! Come by, say hi! Stay tune for further info on that shortly!
Thank you to everybody who made Black Sheep Bakery in the Strandhill market a success! We really appreciate everybody who came by. We will miss it down there, but as we're living in the village, we'll be down most Sunday's...as a customer this time!! See you all soon, Sarah xx

Thanks to all that came by yesterdays Strandhill People's Market! It was absolutely superb!! And if you can't wait until next week to get some of our fresh baking, you'll find us this Wednesday from 3pm in Nazareth House Sligo, right across from the Sligo Rovers F.C. showgrounds!! Hope to see you there! It's in the beautiful glass modern building opposite the old building!

Black Sheep Bakery

Black Sheep Bakery officially started in 2015 although it’s heritage is from years back with baker Sarah coming from a cooking & barista background from the 1990’s! Stints cooking for large UK national food pub chains, was followed by managerial positions at powerhouses Starbucks & Costa Coffee in the UK! It was here at these busy coffee houses that Sarah developed a love for coffee & customer service!

Having moved to Ireland in the the late 2000’s, Sarah began baking as part of her positions as manager of an Aramark café in Sligo and later as café manager/occasional baker of the popular Shells Café in Strandhill.

The home baking now produced by Black Sheep Bakery is a tribute to the wonderfully decadent baking Sarah found and continues to find while doing road trips around the USA!
