Made these delicious morsels for South Africa's Heritage Day (24/09/2026)
Croquembouche with a South African twist - what I call Melktert Bolletjies (say it in Afrikaans) 🇿🇦 came up with the idea of these many years ago for a ladies tea when we lived in Pretoria, South Africa 🇿🇦 So, when I was thinking of what traditional South African dessert to make to mark South Africa's Heritage Day in Ireland 🇮🇪 I decided to make a Milk Tart as I don't make it often. When I need a South African dessert I usually make Malva Pudding or Peppermint Tart. While looking for my Milk Tart recipe I remembered the bolletjies I made all those years ago.
