It took us too long to post this and say goodbye to all our amazing guests, friends and guests turned friends 🥰 It was great baking and cooking for you, we're happy we got a chance too meet you all and we're grateful for all your custom and support. Thank you ❤️ As you know, we closed our little cafe with the beginning of the year. It wasn't an easy decision as we loved what we did, but a necessary one in order for us to make some other dreams come true. Luckily, it was bought and rethought by the lovely team of .112.lovely 👏 We've no doubt they'll feed you well and take good care of you! As we say our goodbyes, we wish them the best of luck in their endeavour and hope they feel at home here as we did 🤗

As you maybe know, few days ago there was a horrible earthquake in Croatia. More accurately there were hundreds because the soil keeps shaking every hour or so, but there were couple of strong ones, 6.4 Richter scale being the one to destroy many family homes, buildings and other property. Thousands of pople became homeless overnight and most of their property destroyed. Croatian citizens and diaspora have all come together to help what ever way we can and so far it has been heartwarming. Within 24h there was more than enough donations in food, clothes, blood and volunteers. Hotels around the country offering free board, taxi services driving across the country for free, best chefs setting up cantines and cooking thousands of hot meals per day, handy men of all sorts helping to fix or save what is left, transport companies transporting countless truck loads and vans of donations from all around Europe. At the moment we're working on filling up a truckload of usefull donations from Ireland, and it will be on it's way on Friday, 8th of January. We'll also be collecting donations in our cafe, every day Mon-Thur 12-3. Call or text us if you'd like to come in a different time. Thank you, your support is grately appreciated! Picture of cake is here for your attention - we have more important issues to talk about today. It's the end of the year, we feel blessed and therefore we want to share. Our plan all along was to make cake for homeless for New Year's eve. Feels weird talking about it as we believe good deeds should not be done for publicity and are most sincere when anonymous. We were convinced otherwise, to share it and maybe entice someone else to do the same. We'll be donating 150-200 cake portions and 100 of our sausage rolls to Capuchin Day Centre.
Another issue to discuss is that my home country, Croatia, has been through many earthquakes this year, with two big ones hitting yesterday and today. Houses are torn down, people and animals are hurt. We are only doing a bit of baking for New year's eve, but 50% of our profits will be paid into a trusted charity account to help those in need. If you don't like vanilla slices, no worries, here's a link for you and you can make a direct payment. No matter how small, every little will help. It took few days for us to sleep and recover from all the baking, but here we are and we wish you Happy Holidays 🥳🎄⛄ We though we're done with baking for this year, but due to all the inquiries, we decided to make some vanilla slices for New year's eve. You can order 6 packs of large vanilla slices for €20. They'll be available for pickup on New year's eve from 11-4. Deliveries possible, please ask about your area. We've been a bit quiet lately, working around the clock to get all your orders ready 🙈 We've never been busier and we made record numbers of our boxes this year - thank you 🤗❤️ Today is the last day to collect your order or to get some last minute goodies. Christmas chocolate orange biscuit puddings: 2lb, €25 - decorated and wrapped for gifting. Made with Terry's chocolate orange, oranges, Irish butter and belgian chocolate.
