This year at the Grassmen Event at Castle Adventure Open Farm, Bakesimo by Maggie is bringing something extra special… our Cookie Special Station!

Expect lots of different loaded cookies, including chocolate chip, smarties, biscoff, kinder bueno, pistachio, cookie sandwiches, snickers, peanut butter, oatmeal, oreo and more.

Come find us at the Bakesimo stand, bring your cookie-loving creature, and grab your favourite before they escape!

Hi everyone, and sorry for the wall of text.

We wanted to share something we’ve been thinking about here at Bakesimo, and we’d really love your thoughts.

As many of you know, there are only two of us working behind the scenes, and over the past while we’ve noticed a big shift in the business. Our delivery side, supplying cakes and bakes to coffee shops and retail, has grown a lot, while walk-in sales for coffee and small bakes have dropped.

With rising costs, long hours, and the amount of time it takes to keep the front of the bakery open each day, we’re considering making a change.

We’re thinking about closing the front of the bakery for daily walk-ins and focusing instead on cake pickups, pre-orders, deliveries to coffee shops, retail, traybakes and weekend boxes.

This wouldn’t mean Bakesimo is going anywhere. You’d still be able to order cakes, traybakes, weekend boxes and treats, but we may move away from daily walk-in coffee and small bakes so we can manage things in a way that’s more sustainable for us.

It’s not an easy decision, and before we make any changes, we’d really love to hear from you. Would this still work for you? Would you still order for collection? Are traybakes, weekend boxes and pre-order bakes something you’d like to see more of?

Three years ago today, we officially opened our doors in this wonderful place, and what a journey it’s been! We couldn't have done it without your amazing support. Thank you for making these past three years incredible!

We’ll be closed on Wednesday while we prepare orders and get everything ready for a very busy weekend ahead 🎂✨

We’ll be back open as normal on Thursday, and also out that morning delivering a wedding cake.

We’re back from holidays and opening again from tomorrow, back to normal hours going forward. We meant to post this sooner, but clearly the holiday brain lingered a bit longer than planned… so this is a slightly late announcement.

Either way, doors are open, lights are on, and we’re ready to get back to it. See you from tomorrow 😊

🚫 This is not how a local street should look.

After returning from a short break, we were genuinely disheartened by what we found outside our shop and neighbouring businesses.

🐾 Dog fouling had built up along the pavement during the days we were closed. This is an area that local businesses clean every single day, often before opening and again after closing, to keep it safe and welcoming for customers, staff, and passers-by.

⏳ When that effort stops, even briefly, the impact is immediate.

🏪 We are not the only business affected. This is a shared space, and maintaining it requires shared responsibility.

🙏 We respectfully ask all dog owners to please clean up after their pets.
✨ It makes a real difference to everyone.

💚 Thank you to the many responsible dog owners who already do the right thing — we really appreciate it.
