We believe in whole foods and produce everything we sell from scratch here in Cork City. We bake true artisan breads without any unnecessary additives. We make pure and wholesome soups with the finest of veg and pulses. Our cakes and pastries range from the virtuous to the sublime. Our sandwiches are made on our own real breads, we handmake our own fillings and dressings and use locally sourced me

ats, cheeses and veg. We believe passionately in the quality of our local produce. We only use free range Irish eggs, real Irish butter and dairy products, Irish baked ham and spiced beef, Gubbeen Smokehouse salami and O’Conaill handmade chocolate. Since our humble beginnings in 2002 over the family health food shop we have grown to employ 30 people in our Marina commercial park bakery and 3 cafes at 26 Paul St, Blackrock village and Fitzgerald's Park. Our wholefoods background and the fact we produce everything ourselves means we have an extensive range of products catering specifically to people with specialist dietary requirements. Nutrition and health are a big part of what we do and providing produce and advice to people on wheat-free, sugar-free, gluten-free, high-fibre, high-protein, vegetarian or vegan diets is our speciality.

We're Hiring: Full-Time Baker / Kitchen Team Member
In our small, family-run bakery in Blackrock, our kitchen is the heart of everything we do. And now we’re looking for an experienced, passionate baker to join our close-knit team and become a core part of our daily bakery life.

About the role:

- Full-time position based in our Blackrock café bakery kitchen

-Hands-on cake baking and kitchen work

- Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm (no late evenings or weekends!)

- Immediate start with training provided

-A long-term role for someone who wants to grow with us

What we’re looking for:

•Minimum 3 years’ experience in cake baking (essential)
•A genuine love for baking and working with quality ingredients
•Reliable, organised, and happy working as part of a small team
•Positive attitude and pride in your work

Reasons to be cheerful - the wonderful made us so happy yesterday!!!

We had our huge glass front door smashed again ...how many times is that? We've lost count at this stage. It always feels personal (although it isn't, we're pretty sure:)))

Anyway, we received a gift of this gorgeous autumnal wreath to brighten up our temporary door and to generally perk us back up. Which worked a treat!
