What they asked for vs what they got.
Bringing the AI inspiration pic to life meant I could reimagine the board so the layout was more accurate (Yes, I know there aren't enough squares, I have the Luxury board, myself 😂) & I could spell the birthday girl's name correctly. The tiles were made out of shortbread and although they were stuck in position with a tiny spot of Royal Icing, it would have been totally possible to pop them off & have a game 🤣 Note what the spare letters at the side spell... 🤭
Thanks to the ever-efficient Lyndsey at for providing A3 sized edible prints as this chocolate biscuit cake was a whopping 10inch square so standard prints would be too small.
This one has got my brain in overdrive as my own Scrabble-mad-Dad hits the same milestone next month... 🤔

Woohoo!! I'm absolutely delighted to be a finalist again!!
What I love about the Irish Wedding Awards is, I don't nominate myself & more importantly, I don't PAY to nominate myself, so it feels a bit more authentic, if that makes sense? Last year I didn't even send in supporting evidence for my nomination & I STILL got a Recognition of Excellence!
I've seen a few other 'awards' organised over recent years but I think if you have to pay to be in it & only win if you happen to pay to advertise on the relevant website, then it kinda feels a bit...well.. orchestrated & fake. 🫣
I don't want to buy recognition of my skill and dedication, that makes it meaningless to me. I will however, happily accept authentic reviews, comments & referrals!
So, whoever it was that nominated me this year - thank you so much. It really does mean a great deal, whether I win or not 🥰😘🥰

When someone asks for autumnal colours in their bouquet 🥰
I'm over here thinking 'Bring it on!' I mean, who wouldn't want to incorporate the warm, cosy vibes of the season into their arrangement?
The rich reds like hedgerow berries, warm oranges remind you of a crackling fire, and the bright sunny yellows that shine like the last rays of sunlight on a crisp Autumn day. It's a symphony of all the changing colours around us, combined with the textures of deliciously soft cakes infused with aromatic vanilla & lemon, and silky smooth buttercream to create a sensory experience that's sure to delight! 😁

I 👏 CANNOT 👏 REPLICATE 👏AI👏SLOP👏
I don't mind getting pics as inspiration - I do that myself sometimes, but I cannot reproduce a cake that isn't actually a cake to begin with. AI has no consideration for what is physically possible, what products & equipment are available for me to use and how long is feasible to spend on a cake with an increasingly small profit margin, thanks to the soaring cost of ingredients!
What I **CAN** do is pick out design elements that are possible and build on those. Or you can trust an artist to create the art & let me do my thing, such as those pictured below.
