What a day at the Apple Festival, Úll Abú 🍎

Michael, our Head Baker, headed to The Organic Centre with a van packed with Carraig Rua breads and sweet bakes... and sold every last one.

The bread was a huge hit with festival-goers and we loved seeing so many people stopping by, tasting our organic breads and taking loaves home with them.

There was plenty of catching up, including with Kenneth from Green Earth Organics. We bake bread for Green Earth Organics which is delivered to customers all across Ireland via their website, so it was brilliant to be together at an event celebrating organic food, farming and the people behind it.

Huge thanks to The Organic Centre for bringing Úll Abú together and to everyone who came over to the Carraig Rua stand and stayed for a chat.

Days like this are exactly what local food is all about. Producers, growers, bakers and communities coming together, sharing what they do and introducing more people to the food being made right here in the region. We were very happy to be part of it. 🍞🍎 🍞🍎

We’re looking forward to being at Úll Abú, Apple Day at The Organic Centre this Sunday with a selection of our organic breads and sweet treats 🍞🍎

It sounds like a brilliant afternoon, with local food producers, talks, apple pressing, cooking demos, sustainable crafts and plenty more happening throughout the day.
