About Cafe L'Arche

Café L'Arche has been opened since January 2007. Downstairs was used to weight the produce for market to ensure that the Farmer got a fair price and upstairs was the meeting rooms of the Callan Town Council. Charles Stewart Parnell gave a speech from the outside steps to a crowd gathered on the street. By 2005 the Town hall was in very poor condition and had been vandalised on

several occasions. The County Council leased it to the L’Arche Kilkenny. L’Arche did a complete renovation to transform it into a bright friendly café. About L'Arche
