As promised in my previous post with my vanilla sponge recipe, here is a simple, sweet and creamy buttercream recipe I use for all my cupcakes. It’s also great for crumb coating and filling sponge cakes if you’re going to decorate with icing (fondant) as the buttercream stays fresher for longer than if you use fresh cream. With just a handful of ingredients it’s not a tricky one but it is a messy process so it’s great to get the kids involved, preferably just before bath time. [ 458 more words ]
