* Brown sugar caramelised fresh apricots, topped with toasted almonds… underneath is our new favourite head girl Diplomat Cream.. fresh cream whipped with pastry cream.. speckled with vanilla bean…. Really delicious!

🌟Don’t forget we are now open Tuesday-Sunday!! Tuesday there is cake, coffee & sandos. Wednesday-Sunday you can now get fresh bread 💫

🌞 A few snaps for May!!

* Lads!! THE weather!! It’s been a wild one eh??! When the sun finally made an appearance, it was LIFE giving 😂😂

* We’ve officially started strawberry season, and the strawberry danish will be a regular for the month of June…you’ve all loved the savoury swirl with garlic butter, so that will continue to be in heavy rotation… ♥️

* This May my little business celebrated 24 yrs…! I had a little dance party and it was so nice to see everyone who popped by! My brother helped me carry the three tier birthday cake that I made for the occasion ♥️

* This month we also started making our fried chicken sandwich… made with free range Irish chicken… it’s pretty tasty if I do say so myself 🥰

* Big News!!! Next Tuesday we will start opening for coffee & cake!! It’s been 7 yrs since we were open 6 days a week!! Fingers crossed it goes ok😅

* This May we are also saying goodbye to our long standing neighbour in the village 😭 .ie … she’s not closing down for good! Just relocating her business to Kinsale.. I’m so sad to see her go.. but all of us wish her huge success in the move! We love you .ie 🥰🥰

* Thank you to everyone who continues to support us and other businesses like mine!! NOW is the time to support small independent businesses… We all need to stand up to the corporate machine 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

🎉Guess what?!!! We are turning 24 this month….💫🌟

🎉Waaayyyyy back in 2002 I took a huge leap of faith and opened a little coffee house on Main Street in Kinsale(the space is now occupied by , who also happened to be a young customer of mine back then)… At the time the sitcom Friends was wildly popular and my cafe was referred to the Friends cafe, also the Pink cafe… the walls and couch were all pink..plus we were very LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 inclusive… the space offered, cakes, coffee, salads, sandwiches, good music & free pour over refills 😂
We were also a space for backpackers to meet up, friends to chat & people even came in just to take their photographs in our lounge area.. this was well before social media hit! Imagine we didn’t have WiFi back then, there were magazines, newspapers and actual conversations 😂😂😂

🎉Since then, there have been many incarnations of my little business… Over the next few days, I’ll be posting some throwbacks…. In the meantime…..

🎉Mark your calendars for Sunday May 17th Help us celebrate…! From 11:00-2/3:00 there will be a DJ in the bakery sending out the good vibes, some music harkening back to 2002, cake, chats, dancing maybe some Bloody Mary shots … who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d love to see you.. ♥️😘🥰🌟💫

🐣 This weekend we will have all of your favourites… YES! I will be making the famous Death By Peanutbutter Bars… I had to give those guys a break.. after making thousands over the years.. I just needed a few weeks(months 😂) off from baking- they are a process… I’ll also be offering the NYstyle Chocolate Chip Cookies, Going to try a matcha & white chocolate cookie, Not Cross Buns, aiming to get our lemon meringue & moon pies back in rotation! 🥰 There! I said it. But please don’t kill me if we sell out and I didn’t make enough 🫣

🐣 Did you know that you can ring and place your order over the phone? If you see something on stories that you like, just give us a bell 📞. We can take payment over the phone and put your treats aside… that way there is no fear of missing out! Our number is located in our profile.
