My passion for nature, my love of gardening and a desire to produce something that would enhance the overall wellbeing of the body and mind is what prompted me to start experimenting. I grow lavender, calendula, chamomile and lots of herbs in my own garden at The Wrens Nest and use these to make my own infused oils which I also use to make soaps and skincare products. I also use natural butters, l

ike cocoa and shea, along with certain seed and vegetable oils and pure essential oils. I really believe in the power of scent and aromatherapy plays a huge part in what i do. Using my soaps and creams will give a lift to your day every time you use them. I use only natural ingredients and there are no chemical or artificial preservatives in my products. I truly hope you enjoy using them and they bring a smile to your day.

A question I hear quite alot is Are your soaps suitable to use as body wash?

The simple answer is Yes!

💚This is one of the reasons I made them in the first place as I wanted to get rid of all the bottles in my shower.

💛I make my soaps the old fashioned way with olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter & calendula oil so they are packed full of super moisturising oils and butters and won’t dry out your skin the way shower gels and commercial soaps can.

🧡A by product of the saponification process is glycerine which is incredible for your skin. In fact it will will sooth and rehydrate your skin, leaving it feeling soft and strokeable!!

It would be a sin NOT to use them in the shower.

✨️If you're a fan of A Discovery of Witches, you know vampires smell things differently! Matthew Clairmont describes Diana's scent as a mix of crushed chamomile, spring narcissus, oak leaves, and witch hazel. I wanted this soap to feel like stepping into an ancient witch's garden right after a spring rain.

Back to school week sucks after the summer, right?

Everyone is struggling just a little to get back into the routine. Tempers are a little frayed. Naps are needed!

🧡My Fatigued? blend of essential oils contains berganot, rose geranium and rosemary. It was created to help a tired body and a tired mind. And it really works!

🧡I make my own calendula oil using my homegrown grown calendula and to that I add the essential oils and nothing else. Use it into your skin after your shower or as a pick me up in the afternoon, massage a little onto to your arms and chest. It will get you to bed time, I promise!

🇦🇺 I had a lovely visitor in the workshop today, all the way from Australia!!

🇦🇺Pam is from Pam Pratt – Grampians Farm Tours & Donkey Adoptions in Victoria and runs a farm in the Grampians that offers farm tours for tourists to the area. She is also a soap maker, though relatively new to it, and offers her visitors soaps made with honey & beeswax from her bees and flowers grown on her farm.

🇦🇺She was visiting Ireland with her husband and reached out to me to see if she could do a workshop as she was keen to learn more and liked what she saw on my Instagram page.

💛We had the loveliest morning, chatting and making soap and a dandelion balm, and talking about living a simple life and our love of nature.

✨️THIS is what I LOVE about Instagram - connecting with people all over the world who share a similar outlook and passions for life. Thanks for visiting Pam!
