The former royal palace of Tirta gangga (which means water of the Gangga, the sacred river of Hinduism) it was built in 1946 by Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem Agung, he is king of Karangasem Kingdom at the time.
Tirta gangga has tiered fontains, garden, and stone statues of mythical creatures spouting water into bathing pools, in outside the place grounds, the view of lush rice fields of northeastern Bali is breathtaking.
