What Is Rolling Pin?
This is a long, thin cylinder used to flatten dough into sheets, rolling it out on a wooden or marble board. It has two handles on the side, making it easier to use. It can be made of wood or plastic.
How To use it?
It is rolled over a dense but soft dough many times in different directions until the dough forms a sheet of the desired thickness. The more the dough is rolled, the thinner the sheet becomes. Good cooks learn through experience and dexterity how to use the right one with the proper pressure and speed. Dough rolled out with a rolling pin gives a good, genuine, homemade feeling to a dish.
