Hello everyone, with a heavy heart, pride and an immense sense of achievement, I would like to announce The Mixing Bowl will close after our last class on 24th September 2026.

I am deeply grateful for your support over the past 12 years. It has been an incredible journey that allowed me to share my passion, meet so many people and most rewarding of all, make kids laugh and watch them grow. I truly hope The Mixing Bowl has helped you find the baker in you.

I would like to thank my team and collaborators, especially Kinny, Hoi Kin, Kaori, Venus, Sheryl, Jaden, Sean for their dedication and patience with me over the years, without them The Mixing Bowl (and me) would not have survived for that long.

I hope to see you in a class in the next few weeks, otherwise, we will be organising a closing down sale to find new homes for our tools and equipment on September 26 and 27 (more details to follow), do come to say farewell and maybe pick up a piece of history 🥹.

Our Modern Mooncakes class is returning, just in time for Mid Autumn Festival (September 25). 🥮 🌝🐇

Join us to make three types of mooncake in one class:
- Classic Lotus Seed Paste & Salted Egg Yolk, homemade@lotus seed paste with taste and texture superior to the commercial version (and with less sugar and fat)
- Double Pistachio, a rich modern favourite with an oozy centre
- Dreamy Coconut with Floral Rose Jam, aromatic, tropical coconut filling with a sweet perfumed rose centre

A hand-on class in which you will learn how every component is made from scratch. We hope to see you in class!
