About Gontran Cherrier
At Gontran Cherrier, we provide the highest quality French baked goods every day.
Our bread and pastries are special because every piece is handcrafted using rich French baking traditions and only the best ingredients, flown directly to us from France.
Hailing from the small city of Luc sur Mer in Normandy, France, Gontran Cherrier was born into a family of bakers with him being the 4th generation. At eight years old his parents moved to Paris and opened their first bakery where he learnt the skills of baking from his father. At only sixteen, he went to the prestigious Ferrandiculinary school and then to Les Grands Moulin de Paris where the young chef passed each diploma to become a Master Baker.
Gifted, curious and creative, in 1999 Gontran quickly piqued the interest of one of the greatest Chefs of the time; working alongside Alain Passard in the prestigious 3 Michelins star restaurant L’Arpège.
