We don't often do this, but I want to be transparent with you guys. We are just a small business, run by me and my husband (and a one year old baby). Everything from creation of new items to social media is done by us. No nameless backers or investors. We have a great dedicated team of chefs and front staff to help make this happen. Trying to balance work and family is extremely hard. We all know how crazy HK rents are (especially Central) and how fine a balance we must walk with every business decision we make. But the reason we started all this was because we wanted to share with this city our creations, all done with a focus on quality first and foremost. We did not take any easy roads to do this. Everything is made from scratch; there are no premixes or premade fillings here. We spend months testing out new items before they are rolled out. We see the love we receive from everyone for what we do. Yet we feel that there is still more we can do. There's too many ideas yearning to burst in my head. We are constrained by the limited space of our shops, so we have made the decision to expand!
We started with cookies, added donuts, and taken on puff pastries. Now with our new venture, we will shine the spotlight on cakes and pies. We've shown glimpses of what we can do with stuff like our Chocolate Cake and Pistachio Basque Cheesecake. We are immensely eager to show everyone all the new things we have been working on. Our display will feature around 30 new items that will range from Carrot Cake to Miso Honey Pie and everything in between.
We know success is not guaranteed. But no matter how this turns out, we are happy that we can do what we love, the way that we want. Seeing the great feedback from people who truly enjoy our innovations makes it all worth it. We will be providing more updates soon :)
