Fangfest - Festival of Practical Arts 5th + 6th September 2026. 10am - 4pm
A Celebration of Local Artists and Makers. A Great Family Day Out! Free Entry. Dog’s on Leads Welcome.

•Dogs on leads welcome.
•Parking is located at St Martin’s Primary School. £2 per vehicle in aid of F.O.S.S (Friends of St Martin's School)
Please respect our residents and do not park around the village.
•Disabled Parking is located at The Carpenter's Arms car park.
•Bus Service - 747 is avilable between York and Pocklington (via Stamford Bridge). Times can be found on eastyorkshirebuses.co.uk
•

Walking and Cycle Routes can also be used to access the event.
•Fangfest is an outdoor event with mixed terrain, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Please note: Although most stall holders will have access to card machines, there is no cashpoint in the village. Pocklington has a number of cash points, Stamford Bridge Co-Op and Costcutter in Dunnington also has an ATM and Wilberfoss Costcutter offers a Cashback service.

The ‘Busking Spot’ is back to add some atmosphere to the arts and crafts at Fangfest 💛
We’ve got a eclectic line up, ranging from ukuleles and banjos to pop choir and Britpop 🎶
Stop by the Village Green to see who’s performing and why not grab a take away beer from The Carpenter’s Arms or treat yourself to a hot dog or a hot drink from the Jubilee Park Refreshments Tent while you’re there! 🌭 🎶🥤

Only a few more days to go until Fangfest. The programmes have been printed and only cost £1.They contain all the information about what's going on, timings of events and a map pin pointing the teddies on the Teddy Bear Trail. AND all the money raised goes towards "Hearing dogs for the deaf".

At the pottery, Gerry and Lyn are getting the last firing in before Fangfest. Their studio will be showcasing the latest designs, as well as their popular domestic ware range.
They will be selling off some pots at bargain prices - overruns and slight seconds.
During the weekend they will be demonstrating various techniques of wheel thrown pottery, and firing a raku kiln.
In the garden, visitors are encouraged to throw their own pot, or paint one already made to take away with them.
