York Cake Company My name is Ian and I make bespoke cakes for all occasions. Weddings, birthdays, christenings you name it. Any shape, size and style you desire!

I’ve been making bespoke cakes for all occasions since July 2012. A friend showed me the basics and got me hooked. Since then I have made dozens. I love creating unusual and interesting designs, with details and intricacies that leave customers, friends or family delighted. I thought I would turn what was just a fun hobby into something more, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I am able to mak

e cakes of all shapes, sizes and levels of complexity unique to the customer’s specification. Whether you have a very specific design in mind, or just a vague plan you would like me to fully realise then you’ve come to the right place. I love both the creative freedom of a basic brief and the attention to detail needed for something very specific. All in all I love a challenge and to get to see the smile on the customer’s face when they see what I’ve produced from a few eggs, some sugar and a bit of fondant!
