Here we go!! Updated opening schedule for the next couple of months! I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce the Bread Box too as I haven’t gone through it for a while!

Barb (The Bread Box) is a little refurbed shed that sits on my driveway on the weekends that we open. Each weekend it’s filled with freshly baked breads, churned butters, fresh pastries and other goodies and a few sweet treats.

The box works on an honesty box system - each item is individually labelled with price and allergen info and you will simply pick up what you want and then pay via either the cash box which is in the shed, or the sumup card machine. There is also a QR code that you can scan which will take you to SumUp for mobile payments.

The box is not manned so for your safety and mine, there is a CCTV camera inside the box.

I’ve received a 5* hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency, I’m fully registered with the local council, a registered business and fully insured.

I really enjoy doing this each week and I have a little more time on my hands at the moment so hopefully can bring some delicious seasonal treats your way over the next few months!!

Well I survived the yesterday 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 and I’m just about able to walk again 😂

I realised last week it had been SIX MONTHS since I started this little bread baby of mine, so I wanted to do something special to mark that but also mark the start of my fave time of the year. Anyone who knows me, knows I love a theme so here we go…. A weekend of treats inspired by the world of Harry Potter!

Pre orders are open now and before anyone says it, I know it’s still early but there are TOO MANY autumnal treats to squeeze in!!

Come and get your Bread Box fix today because we’ll be CLOSED next weekend while I swap the bread box for my running shoes and take on the Great North Run! 🏃‍♀️💛

And when we’re back… Something a little bit special is coming.

Our first ever themed Bread Box weekend is on its way, with a rather ✨magical✨ menu to welcome in the very best time of year.

TikTok made me do it… warm cookie on cookie dough ice cream. When in Rome!!

Away this weekend for the bank hol but SO excited to get stuck in with SEPTEMBER - in my opinion, the best time for baking all year! Lots of seasonal treats coming to Barb over the next couple of months!! 🍁🍪💫🥨🧈🥐🍂

Salted pretzel bites…. SO happy with how these came out 🥨 soft and fluffy on the inside with a savoury bite to the outside - obvs had to test them LOADED with butter 🤷🏼‍♀️
