SHAMBLES MARKET… you really do have our hearts 🥹💕

From the people we meet from every walk of life, to your lovely returning faces, our shed regulars popping over to find us for their treats, and of course all the other amazing stall holders… everyone makes a Thursday at Shambles a day we genuinely look forward to and thoroughly enjoy! 🥰

We absolutely LOVE being there and getting to chat to you all — even if I do spend half the day talking when I should probably be selling cakes 🤣🤣

Now onto this weekend… 👀🍰🥖

I’ll post the FULL completed menu tonight, once a few little trials have either passed the very serious taste-test stage… or been told to stay FAR away from the menu 🤣🤞🏼

🥖 THE SAVOURY SHED will of course have all the usual favourites:
✨ Fresh sourdough focaccia loaves
✨ Fresh bread buns
✨ Cheese twists
✨ Pie of the week
✨ Quiches
…and maybe a few extras if I get carried away 👀🤣

🍰 THE SWEET SHED will be FULLY LOADED and ready for you all from 10AM TOMORROW! 💕

⏰ Sunday 10am–8pm
(or until you lot wipe us out 🤣)

🎀💕 THE BAKERY REVEAL IS HEREEEE!! 💕🎀

Okay… she’s not quite finished, but LOOK AT HER 😭😭💕
The update we’ve been dyyyyying to get to — we finally have PROGRESSSSS!! 🙌🏼

Just the final little jobs now — splashbacks, kickboards etc — fridge & freezer arriving THIS WEEK, then we stock her up, get all the equipment in and SHE’S READY! 🥹🧁✨

🌸 A HUGE THANK YOU FROM THE SHEDS! 🌸

Honestly, what a weekend!! 🥹❤️

We went into this weekend expecting it to be a little quieter with it being Bank Holiday weekend… apparently you lot had other ideas 🤣

And a special shoutout to those of you who actually braved the storm for cake today… you crazy lot 😂🌧️🍰 That is some serious dedication to the cause!

We’ve completely SOLD OUT of over 25 different items across the sheds this weekend, which is honestly just unreal to me. You’ve stocked up, cleared shelves and kept me VERY busy in the kitchen 😂❤️

But genuinely, one of my favourite things is hearing how much you’re enjoying the bakes and the bread. As a completely self-taught baker, in what can sometimes feel like a pretty scary industry, those little comments mean more than you probably realise. 🥹

Trust me… I am my own worst critic!! 🤣 I can find something wrong with absolutely anything I make, so hearing you come back and tell me how much you loved something is honestly the biggest reassurance.

As a family, the Cake Shed, Bread Shed and markets mean so much to us. It’s become such a huge part of our lives and we are genuinely loving every step of this slightly crazy journey. ❤️

And there are some BIG steps coming…

📦 Postal bakes are coming VERY soon!
This one feels scary 😬 but it’s something we’ve been preparing for behind the scenes for a while now and I’m so excited to finally take the plunge!

AND… after approximately 937 setbacks 🤣 our new bakery should, FINGERS CROSSED, finally be ready to use this week!! 🎉

Which means I might actually get my kitchen back and it can stop being a super-strict, controlled, nobody-touch-anything-or-I’ll-lose-my-mind baking zone 🤣🤣

Anyway… I’m babbling now!

I was planning on having some of my focaccia with homemade soup for supper tonight… but YOU SOLD US OUT.

So breadless soup it is. 😂🥣

3pm update, lots to choose from in both sheds guys, shockingly lots of our best sellers are left…. Brownie stuffed chocolate cookies with a white chocolate drizzle….. a chocolate overload!

Also lots of lovely fresh baked sourdough focaccias and normal baked bread ❤️

When Thorntons of York - Makers of Pure Beeswax Candles visit your shed and leave the cutest little thank you gift in there!! Smells absolutely unreal, they’re at shambles market every Thursday and are the sweetest people!! Made my day to open the shed and see this little beauty! 😍❤️

Just finishing up for the night and I couldn’t go to bed without saying a huge THANK YOU for another brilliant day at the sheds 🥹🩷

I’m currently in the kitchen finishing off, flour absolutely everywhere as usual 🤣 and getting all the fresh bread prepped and ready to bake first thing in the morning 🍞✨

It honestly makes me so happy seeing so many familiar faces coming back week after week, as well as lots of lovely new ones finding us too. The fact you choose to come back, spend your money with our little business and enjoy the things I’ve made genuinely means more than you probably realise 🥰

It’s been another fab day and now it’s time to get everything ready so we can do it all over again tomorrow! 😂🙌🏼

Fresh bread, savouries & plenty of sweet treats will be waiting for you in the morning 🥖🍪🍰
