A week of wins, losses, tears, proud moments and just about keeping it together 💗

This week has been… a lot.

I’ve cried more than I’d like to admit, had opportunities I’ll never forget, raised money for something incredibly special, had a cake go spectacularly wrong 🙃 and then made one that reminded me I actually DO know what I’m doing 😂

The highs of running a small business can be huge, and the lows can knock you sideways- sometimes within the same day.

And underneath all of it this week has been Dolly. 💗 The grief, the gratitude, the music and the reminder of why I built this ridiculous pink bakery in the first place.

So here’s my week- the wins AND the losses, that I’ll never be ashamed to talk about x

💗 £200 FOR THE IMAGINATION LIBRARY 💗

This weekend, our little Dolly cupcakes raised £200, and every penny has now been donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. 📚✨

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall at Mind Body & Soul and chose one of the Dolly cupcakes alongside your other bakes. It genuinely means so much.

Dolly has been at the heart of the inspiration behind this little business from the very beginning, so in honour of her, it felt only right that the proceeds from these cupcakes went towards something she cared so deeply about. 💕

£200 might be a little drop in the ocean, but lots of little drops make a pretty big splash. 📚💗

Thank you for helping me turn cupcakes into something a little more meaningful.

Things I’ve done this week to honour THE GOAT 🩷

It’s been a strange, emotional little week. One minute I’m smiling at everything she gave us, the next I’m crying because her voice comes on while I’m elbow-deep in buttercream. 😭

But I didn’t want this week to just be about feeling sad. I wanted to do things that felt Dolly.

I talked about what she meant to me. I baked with her music playing far too loudly. I made cupcakes covered in her words, with the proceeds going to the Imagination Library . I even made a little promise to myself to stop hiding parts of who I am.

Because if there’s one thing Dolly taught me, it’s to find out who you are and do it on purpose.

This little pink bakery exists because I was inspired by her long before I ever sold a cake. The colour, the humour, the big dreams, the kindness, the belief that you can be completely yourself AND do some good while you’re here.

So I think the best way I can honour her is to keep doing exactly that.

More kindness. More colour. More cake. More courage. More being unapologetically yourself.
