Could I please ask our customers that if you are speaking to either Amanda or Trina in the office, to remain polite.
We understand that it can be frustrating when your papers are late, your invoices are later than you would normally have them or there has been an error with your delivery, but it is not ok to be rude, condescending or abusive.
In the last month alone, there have been instances of this to both ladies and it will not be tolerated.
This year has been a bit of a rough one with the floods at the beginning of the year and then one of the newspaper print sites closing down, which has meant that they come from one site which has often caused delays with printing and therefore resulting in us receiving the papers later than we would like.
This morning we received our papers much later than normal, in the week, this is not a huge issue but on a Saturday when you factor in the supplements for The Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Mirror, The Express, The Sun, The Western Daily Press, The Western Morning News, which take an hour and a half to process - this has a massive knock on effect.
This morning the Crewkerne Round and the Tintinhull round drivers did not leave until 6am and the drivers for the other rounds did not leave until nearly 6.30am
I would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers and appreciate your understanding.
Have a lovely weekend!
