Poppins was preparing for windy weather this Wednesday. The children made a wonderful job of decorating their kites and everyone enjoyed singing the Let’s Go Fly A Kite song from the original Mary Poppins film. We finished the session with a favourite activity - the rainbow parachute.
It was a busy session this week but we are always pleased to welcome new children and their carers. Term time Wednesdays 9.15 to 10.45. We welcome donations to cover costs but there are NO CHARGES.

Bubble Church is a fun filled, action packed approach to church, specifically designed for young children and their families or carers.

This week’s Poppins was all about farming and going places so we hopped into a pineapple balloon and drove tractors around the farm. It’s wonderful to use your imagination when you’re young. Join us on our next adventure 9.15-10.45 next Wednesday 30 September.

The beginning of a new term of Poppins brings a big smile to all our faces. And this Wednesday was no different. Even more so because the children made these lovely smiley faces.
If you’d like to join us there’s a warm welcome, new friends and lots of fun to be had. 9.15 to 10.45 each Wednesday in term times.

The rain has returned so it must be time for the new term to start.
Yes Poppins is back next week!

Today was the end of term for Poppins. Of course we celebrated with a bit of a party - totally unhealthy snacks for a change 😉 and a craft activity of ice creams and lollies. 😋
The parachute came out for children to run under and bounce balls.
Sadly we had to say fond farewells to a couple of children but we hope that they absolutely love going to proper school.
For everyone else, and any newcomers, we look forward to seeing you for the autumn term starting on 9 September.
Meanwhile have very happy (? restful) holidays.

If you are feeling the heat you may appreciate these sparkling rock pools made by the children as part of the beach theme.
Just two more Poppins before the summer holidays (we finish with a bit of a party on 22 July) so make the most of the opportunity. If you’ve never been before feel free to come and taste the sessions to see whether you’d like to join us again in September.

Last week (24 June) when the sun had returned we were off to the beach - at least in our craft activity. Really got the vibe with all that sand and sea with those striped beach huts and parasols, not forgetting the buckets and spades.

Despite the mizzle Poppins was busy today with 20 children all making dogs ready for the Dog Show. And a great job they made of it, thanks to Jane’s preparation.Give them a big hand!
