Happy Sunday ✨

I’ve popped together some new price lists, (not much different to last time) how to order and important info on allergies!❗️

I’ve decided that I will let people know what weekends I have availability with hopefully a good amount of notice 🙂

Look out on my stories for the availability dates BUT always message to see if I can fit an order in!

STALLS - I will be at Rhosddu fun day on 13th June 🙌 Can’t wait! I’m hoping to be at a few more events and fun days during the summer and heading towards the end of the year! If people know of any events needing a cake stall, please let me know 🫶

Hey, it’s been a while…after a lot of thought I have decided to come back part time (ish) with Ginger Bear Cakes 🧁 New logo and branding! I’m happy to say that I will be back at markets, events and fun days with my stall 🤗

When I’ve figured everything out, I will also be back offering just cupcakes, brownies / blondies and cookies, NO celebration cakes or wedding cakes as I can’t fit these around my full time job! 👩‍🏫 Look out for dates when I am offering these again!

I’m re-registered with the local council, fully insured and I’m having a refresher on my level 2 food hygiene course as well as just completing a food allergens course! 📝

Please spread the word and help me grow if you can. Share, like and follow my page. It’s a competitive market the baking world and I’ve missed it so much! I know I’m a small fish in a big pond but I want to do what I love again even if it’s on a smaller scale - Sian 😘

As I officially close the door on Ginger Bear Cakes, I would like to thank you all for the support over the last 3 and a half years! 🥰

As I’ve said in my previous posts, it has meant so much to me! My regular customers who kept coming back, the shares, recommendations and the never ending backing from my wonderful family and friends 🥹🧡

You never know, Ginger Bear might come back one day 🐻 but for now, it’s goodbye!

The biggest thing I will miss about this baking business journey are my lovely customers! 😪

This is a message I received from the lady who I made the Twin Peaks cake for. She’s had a cake from me before and I was so happy she chose to come back. I had the biggest hug when she collected 🥹 and this is the best part of having a small business!

The amount of gorgeous, kind people I’ve met has been the best for me! Taking time out to message me has meant so much! I will miss it, I will miss you and I thank you so much for choosing me time and again for your bakes! I won’t forget you all 🥰

I’ve got my final few cakes this weekend and then that is it! I’m looking forward to a chill over Christmas and New Year 🎅🏻🥂 Settling into my new job this week then back at it with a new proper routine from January!

I was asked to do this by a lovely customer and I was excited as it’s so different!

This is the last tall cake I’ll do 😢 what a great one to finish with!

❗️PLEASE READ… ❗️

It is with a heavy heart to announce that after 3 and a half years, Ginger Bear Cake Co will be closing at the end of December 😢

I start a new full time job working in a high school in 2 weeks which I am excited about. I won’t have any spare time to bake and if I’m completely honest, I’m looking forward to a new routine and to spending my weekends and evenings relaxing and seeing family / friends ❤️ If the last few months have taught me anything, it’s that life is too short!

As well as this, it’s getting harder and harder to be a small business owner especially in the baking world. The cost of ingredients just keeps rising and I don’t like to increase my prices! I’ve been baking from my home kitchen for the whole 3 and a half years and the dream was to have my own cake shop which hasn’t happened.

Don’t get me wrong, I am super proud of how I’ve grown my cake business in that time and how far I’ve come. I’m self taught and I’ve had many tears, late nights and I’ve worked hard! 🥵 I hit the goal of attending stalls at markets and fun days and I absolutely loved doing these! I just feel that I can’t carry on doing this from home any longer.

I’m thankful beyond words for my customers especially the ones who kept coming back and who champion me by recommending, sharing posts and re-ordering! 🥰 your support has meant the world!

Finally I’d like to thank those closest to me, my amazing family and friends who have supported this little dream of mine from the start and who are currently supporting me through this decision, which hasn’t been an easy one 💔

I’ll still keep the social media pages going as all of my cake pics are on here and you never know what the future holds. Ginger Bear Cakes might be back bigger and better but for now the time is right to hang up my apron! 👩🏼‍🍳

For those few orders I have booked in from now until I close, don’t worry, your order will still be made! 👍
