“When one path changed, my passion simply found a new form.”
Before becoming a full-time cake artist, my days were spent in a very different world. One that shaped so much of who I am today.
For 23 years, I worked as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, caring for animals and supporting their owners through every high and low. Animals have always been a constant in my life, from horses to dogs and cats, and that deep connection never left me.
When a sudden change in my health meant I had to step away from the veterinary profession, it was an incredibly difficult chapter to close. But in many ways, it led me back to what I love most. Through my cake artistry, I’ve found a new way to reconnect with animals, bringing them to life through sculpted details and hand-painted designs that often reflect the beloved pets of my clients. It’s a different path, but one that still feels rooted in the same passion.
I’m also so grateful for the continued support from my friends and former colleagues in the veterinary world, it truly means everything.
