🍰TRUST THE PROCESS🍰

Another first for me this week with my first layered cake. As you all know I'm a cupcake girl through and through and absolutely love it but was asked if I could do an 80th birthday cake for a friends dad. Without any hesitation, I agreed...

It's safe to say that this process certainly tested me and yes there were many times that I thought l'd messed it up and couldn't do it however I'm actually very please with the final result💪🏽

It's not perfect, but for a first attempt I'm happy!
A four layer vanilla sponge with a raspberry jam filling. Cream and navy vanilla buttercream to finish the edges and a beautiful gold chocolate drip🍫

Last but not least some navy and gold decorations to keep the theme going and an amazing cake topper from Wisdom Prints By S to add the personal touch✨

A sweet surprise for a special arrival!

Sophie has been cruising for the last 6 months with work and has now come back for her well deserved break🛳️

It’s very safe to say we are absolutely over the moon to have her home❤️

This week’s bake was for my manager Geoff who prefers the simple classics! A vanilla cupcake with a strawberry jam filling and vanilla buttercream🧁

I decided to try a stamped royal icing topper for these cupcakes and I found they make them look so much better! It definitely provides more variety to them!

Sweet vs Savoury

Having taken some time away from baking and focusing on everyday life today I was ready to get back to the stand mixer! This weekend I celebrated my birthday so of course that meant making some cupcakes and receiving new utensils and recipes to try.

Today’s bake was Scones.

The issue we had was, our household is split between sweet and savoury. Half wanted scones with jam and half wanted cheesy scones so that’s exactly what I did!

It’s safe to say, half of both sets are already gone! Fingers crossed there’s one left for me to sample🤞🏽

Another special occasion bake for my Sister-in-Laws baby shower!🍼

This has to be my favourite bake so far. The colours and the flavours went very well and the best part is I was given free rein to do what I wanted (within reason of course!)

A sharp lemon cupcake topped with a simple sweet drizzle and a vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream🧁

The latest creation for my Dads birthday! Dad is a fan of the more traditional flavours so a simple vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting was the best option for him.

This was a first attempt at the ombré method and it’s safe to say I will be doing this a lot more! I also decided to attempt a black buttercream which was a success too.

Due to being a new baker and hoping to branch out my cupcake creations, if you’re in need of cupcakes I am more than happy to help! For limited time the only cost is to cover ingredients for your sweet treats so get your orders in!🧁

A recent bake for my gorgeous nieces 1st Birthday.

A strawberry cupcake topped with a strawberry buttercream and a vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream icing.

This was a new flavour for me but one that I will definitely be making again. The best part is, they went down a treat!🧁
