Feeling pretty relieved we didn't have any cake orders booked in for this week! Much too hot! We still have some availability for September though so get in touch if you have an upcoming birthday celebration.
In the meantime we realised we never shared the video of our 50/50 cake from last week so here it is!

🌟50/50 Cake🌟
The perfect cake for two sisters who share early August birthdays! A cake split into two and each half has a separate theme. We loved the idea of this and the finished result lived up to expectations!
It was a huge vanilla cake and it took SO long to decorate. A definite labour of love! 125 moulded flowers alone on Olive's cake.
The castle was made from rice krispie treats and everything except the roofs was edible.
This was the perfect design for two little girls.

Benny celebrated his 10th birthday at the weekend with this great music themed chocolate cake.
With edible prints of some of his favourite albums around the side together with lots of music notes and paint splatters. The cake was finished with a model of Benny's own electric guitar (complete with tiger print guitar strap because the small details are important!) and an amp which looked fab.

Take seven rice krispie squares, add some carving, a covering of green icing and lots of edible dusts and we got ourselves a fully edible Godzilla!
He happily sat atop a vanilla sponge cake decorated with ocean waves and a teeny boat for scale!
This cake just looked so cool! It isn't lost on me that I regularly say this! I guess I just have the best customers who order some brilliant designs 🥰. I LOVE bringing them to life!

A fun illusion cake for Margaret's 80th birthday celebrations at the weekend.
A delicious chocolate caKe disguised as a box of her favourite Maltesers.
This was almost to scale but we made the box slightly deeper so the cake wasn't too shallow.
We added edible prints of the Maltesers and added a handcut 'Margaret's' logo to the lid. A clever idea which we can't take the credit for!
We love how this cake turned out. It looked rather fab!

School's out for Summer!
A few thank you teacher cookie gifts from today. We love the apple cookies. So striking and a perfect sweet treat for a teacher.

Another heatwave cake from last week!
This one wasn't as neat as usual and all we can see is the bumps in the icing but in the 30° we were decorating in the ganache was not happy (and nor was I) 😅
Thankfully this one wasn't for a paying customer as it was for my lovely daughter's 13th birthday! 'My Favourite Things' cake designed by her and I think we nailed the brief. She also overlooked the bumps in the icing by focusing on the cute pooch and the pretty cool books.
Everything edible except for the little glasses.

Parker celebrated his 3rd birthday last week and we made this Toy Story themed cake for him. With each tier featuring the iconic Buzz and Woody outfits this was pretty cool!
The top tier was chocolate and the bottom tier was funfetti which is a vanilla cake with lots of colourful sprinkles baked into it.
How we managed to achieve this in the heat last week is fairly remarkable!
Cakes and heatwaves don't mix 🥵
