A football themed vanillla cake which we made recently for my lovely Dad's 80th birthday! Unfortunately as we decorated this on the hottest day of the year so far (Bank Holiday Monday 🥵) we had to keep the decoration pretty simple but with the football pattern and the scarf (unnecessary in the heat!) in the obligatory LUFC colours this still looked quite cool.

Some colourful dinosaur and train themed vanilla cupcakes we made for Larry's recent 4th birthday party. All interspersed with 'Larry' and '4' toppers.
We love how these looked especially with the pop of colour from the coloured cupcake cases.
(We aren't so keen in hindsight that we didn't straighten the cupcakes ik the boxes before taking the photos. All we can see if wonky trains and clouds 🤦🏻‍♀️)

To accompany Ruby's celebration cake we also made twelve vanilla cupcakes. Each decorated with a swirl of vanilla buttercream and half with sugar pearls to match the cake in gold, silver and white and the other half with a golden 18 in fondant on top.
We just love the shine on the 18's!

We're a little behind with posting due to half term so it's time for a catch up!
This was a fab buttercream covered vanilla cake for Ruby's recent 18th birthday celebrations.
Lots of sugar pearls were added and balloon effect candles and glitterballs completed the cake.

A celebration cake from a few days ago for a special 80th birthday. Hopefully ticking off all the required themes of cats, pink and flowers!
This was a vanilla cake decorated with a hand modelled cat and silk flowers.
Lots of paw prints were added around the side of the cake and the design was finished with an 80th plaque.

Max turns 13 today!
We were asked to make a fishing themed cake for the birthday celebrations and hopefully this chocolate cake fitted the bill.
The cake was finished with a model of Max himself fishing and, of course, he has caught a fish!
A lot of work goes into this type of design making all the small elements but it is worth it when we see the end result!

Some of the piped vanilla cupcakes for a special hen do at the weekend.
With a mix of piping styles and finished with tiny gold and white sugar pearls these looked lovely.
Hen party cupcake toppers were added at the venue.

Nine years of trading and no tiger cakes requested then we make two in two weeks!
This was a delicious vanilla cake decorated with a fun stripy design complete with lots of foliage and a cute tiger model made from modelling paste. (Not our design).

A beautiful birthday cake with matching cupcakes for a special 90th birthday celebration yesterday.
This was a vanilla cake which was covered in white and pink marbled fondant icing. It had edible gold leaf added and lots of sugar flowers, buds, berries and leaves. All made by yours truly. The peony was my favourite!
We also made some vanilla cupcakes each topped with a swirl of vanilla buttercream and a disc of marbled fondant with either a gold '90' or some ribbon roses in colours to match those on the cake.
Sugar roses on a cake are a lot more effort than silk flowers but they look stunning Hopefully we get to use some on a cake again soon.
