Fabulous day out to Birdland at Bourton-on-the-Water, to round off our 60th Birthday Celebrations. A treat for the girls. Maybe a tad hot!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating 60 years of Girls' Brigade in Witney on Saturday afternoon despite the weather and having to move it inside. An army of volunteers came at midday, helped us clear the church to make space and set up inside. We could not have managed without them all. What a blessing!

It was so good to see folk from over the 60 years; officers, helpers and girls. This included Mrs Dorothy Brooks who was an officer when the Company started under Mrs Myrtle Hartley, then became Captain and has been our President since she retired.

We enjoyed doing challenges and still managed to have Aunt Sally and the Coconut Shy outside in the drizzle. There was a great atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the tea.
We thank God for His faithfulness and for the commitment of everyone who has been part of the company since 1962.

Today is GB International day of prayer. Do join us in praying for GB across the world at this difficult time.

Come and join Girl’s Brigade International as we come together in prayer as a family on 10th June 2020.
🙏 Pray for wisdom, courage and resources to go out and tell our Stories of how GB is transforming the lives of girls and young women.
🙏 Pray for all the GB Leaders around the world who dedicate their time and resources to work with the girls and young women.
🙏 Pray for our five Fellowships with our diversity and cultural differences.
🙏 Pray for the each Country as they deal with COVID-19, pray that their GB groups will revive as they are able to start meeting again, pray that the Leaders can keep in contact with the families they know through GB.

Wherever you are, take time on 10th June to join the GB Family in prayer, take time to reflect on the story of GB, 127 years later, we are still relevant.
