Dream wedding inspiration at Upcote Barn 🤍

Bringing together beautiful creative talent to create a romantic wedding setting inspired by timeless elegance, delicate florals, soft textures and vintage cake artistry. The three-tier buttercream wedding cake draws inspiration from vintage cake design, featuring intricate piping, cascading swags, delicate ruffle borders and hand-piped floral motifs.Soft blush and blue accents bring a modern, romantic feel, while the botanical details add a subtle nod to the floral styling throughout the shoot. Every piped detail was carefully crafted by hand, creating texture, movement and timeless elegance from every angle.

We loved seeing the vision come to life within the venue’s stunning stone interiors, where every detail—from the tablescape to the cake display—worked in harmony to create a truly enchanting atmosphere. Venue:

For Ellie and Stanley at Caswell House 🤍

Inspired by the beauty of nature’s imperfect details, this design features hand-finished torn-edge icing to create soft texture and movement across each tier. Adorned with delicate sugar roses and graceful branchwork, it embodies understated elegance from top to bottom.

Hand painted wisteria, cascading sugar flowers, and soft spring tones brought this elegant design to life at Caswell House. Inspired by an English country garden, each tier was finished with delicate floral detailing, trailing blossoms, and handcrafted sugar flowers for a timeless romantic feel. Finally sharing this teapot cake I designed as the centrepiece for last month’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Created to launch Oxford Fine Dining 2026 menu, the entire evening was a whimsical Wonderland dream — the venue transformed into pure magic.

I wanted the teapot to feel like it was overflowing into a cascade of flowers spilling down the cake… definitely a bit of a learning curve, and I wasn’t sure it would all come together — but I’m so happy with how it turned out! Set amongst lush, enchanted greenery with delicate florals, butterflies and a vintage-style clock detail, the whole piece felt like it had been lifted straight out of a storybook — especially with that soft, glowing light bringing everything to life

Last week I was very honoured to play a very small part of a wonderful evening held by and at the Examination Schools in Oxford. I’m so lucky to live so near to such an iconic city, steeped with history and also to work alongside some of the best suppliers in our region. The evening was to launch Oxford Fine Dinings 2026 menu in a Wonderland theme where the venue was transformed into a magical and whimsical fantasy filled dream. I designed a teapot cake to be the centrepiece of the Mad Hatters Tea Party. Here is a small snippet of our evening supporting Sobell House Hospice.
