Be careful fellow bakers , you know what Wigan Council are like 👍

Sadly we won't be opening our cake shed until we come to a solution with Wakefield Council.

I appreciate all the comments on our page this morning, we genuinely didn't know we couldn't do it in our own front garden.

We've seen cake sheds on public footpaths/end of driveways.

Ours is right back to our house, but because it isn't in line with it - that's seems to be the issue (we hope)

Big mistake to make - but we are only human.

There was a complaint made - not just the council casually saw it on social media.

We are fully registered and compliant with Environmental health Wakefield Council etc.

The picture makes the shed looks big - its 6 x 4

I know some people aren't a fan of me, and that's ok - but stick your 2p somewhere else, honestly some thrive of negativity.

I prey for a positive outcome 🤞

I'm just a girl, trying to do what I enjoy - baking.
Providing for my family, bringing something good to Crofton.

Its a sad day , ive decided to sell Mabel my travelling tearoom 😭 shes sat in my garden being unappreciated. We've had lovely times but she could be spruce up and loved by someone else.
We really want to start working on our house and the garden is the first job.
If anyone is interested she is listed on the marketplace under Mabel the tearoom ❤️

Catering creates a lot of waste , packaging , food waste , its goes on and on.

The plastic catering trays look good but the black plastic gets rejected by the sorting machines and goes into landfill. 🚩

Only fully recyclable packaging will be used by my business ♻️
Email receipts and invoices rather than paper.
Ive always used food waste bins but the waste is always plenty. Its about being more aware of what we can do with our waste , using sponge trimmings for things like cake pops , using crusts for breadcrumbs or croutons. It all counts.

Its about being aware of products we use , sourcing local and organic products 🍓🫐
Its about supporting each other , supporting British farming and not using imported ingredients.
Putting into out economy and not anyone else's.
