I’m not taking the Pistachio here, but, if you’re into “Modern Trends,” everyone seems to be going Nuts about pistachios.
So, we’ve got a couple of sweet treats for you today, flavoured with the aforementioned…
First, we have a Pistachio Choux Bun - ring shaped and topped with pistachio fudge frosting and toasted pistachios, & filled with pistachio crème patissiere and cream.
Then we’ve taken our buttery croissants, and topped and filled them also with our home made pistachio crème pat.. 😋
Finally, if that’s all too much sweet & nuts for you, here’s something we haven’t made for ages, and used to be popular in our Briar Road days, Onion Platzils , a fresh bread roll, hollowed out in the middle and stuffed with chopped onion, eat them as they are, or fill them with your favourite sandwich filling…. Mmmm - Gooood!

It’s a normal week, and seems to be dragging, because we were spoilt with the short week last week, right?
The weekend isn’t quite here, so how about a sweet treat to give you that final push..?
How about a Caramel & Custard Slice? Vanilla custard, sandwiched in light puff pastry and topped with caramel icing. Or we’ve made some more Crème Egg Muffins, because they were rather popular last week, and not everyone got to try them, and fot those who did and might fancy something different, we’ve made Chocolate Malt Ball Muffins, topped with malt buttercream and chocolate malt balls. The choice is yours, you can decide down the Sweet End of the High Street!

It’s beginning to look a lot like.. Oh! Hang on… wrong holiday 🤪🤪
Ok, so it’s the other one, Easter innit..
Time to get “Your Chocolate On!” We’ve got 2 variations of Cadbury Creme Eggs for you to enjoy. First, a giant chocolate cupcake, generously topped with chocolate fudge frosting and whole cracked Creme Egg. Then we’ve got a cheeky take on that Picnic favourite, the Scotch Egg. So, instead of a hard boiled egg, we have (you guessed it..) a whole Cadbury Creme Egg. Instead of sausage meat, we have Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Instead of golden breadcrumbs, we have Biscoff Crumbs… Wowzers!
So I’ve got to ask, How do you eat yours?
Don’t panic, we haven’t gone completely choco mental, we’ve (obviously) got delicious, fresh, fruity, spicy Hot X Buns too 🤤

As it’s Half Term, I thought I’d bring back a couple of savoury “Munches” to help mum (or dad!) keep the Cherubs going until tea time..
Our own recipe “Veggie” Sausage Rolls and Bacon & Cheese Puffs.
Both hand made with fresh ingredients, and delicious either hot or cold, on their own or with a salad or something less healthy…😉

Weird as this may sound, until last week I had never been to an IKEA store, my girlfriend loves the place, so decided to take me for a day out. I’ve heard the ad on the radio, and the bloke talks about Daim Cake, so whilst there I checked it out, and a week later, I’ve made one and it’s in the shop today.
And the best thing is, it’s Gluten Free too - but don’t worry, I’m not venturing into selling flat-pak furniture anytime soon.. 🤣🤣🤣

Ugh 😩 it’s still January… But, here’s the good news, we’re past the half way mark - summer is on its way 🤣🤣
So, to celebrate the imminent demise of Dull January, we’re having a Savoury Saturday!
Check out our new Spicy Salt & Pepper topped breads, we have Subs, Sticks and even Sourdough all with a delicious salt & black pepper Tiger Crust - perfect for a tasty sandwich or savoury snack.
And, we have some mouthwatering Cream Cheese and Onion Croissants, which are more more ish than those crisps that come in a tube..😉

Happy New Year to all of our lovely customers. We hope you all had the best Festive Season.
Just a reminder that we’ll be back - Up & At Ya’ on Monday 5th January at 8am.
We are open Monday to Saturday for our first week back, just to get the proverbial wheels turning, then back to Tuesday to Saturday from 13th January.
