My name is Alison and as a hobby for the past 20 years I have been making all sorts of cakes and cookies for my family and friends. Over the years my abilities and confidence have grown; along with my desire to experiment with ideas and my willingness to try new styles. Up until now I have only made cakes for my family and friends. These have been anything from a batch of cupcakes for an afternoon
tea party to an oversized cupcake for a teenager’s birthday. From christening cakes to celebration cakes to novelty cakes to just about anything that can be baked! Not forgetting of course the wedding cakes; from the traditional to the individual. One of the things all the cakes have had in common is that they are all made with the care and attention to detail for the recipient in mind. The knowledge and pleasure I get from knowing that whatever cake I have been asked to make has brought a smile to someone’s face is literally the ‘icing on the cake’. Because of this and with thanks to the comments received over the years from family and friends I decided to take the plunge, start my own business and ‘Frosty Fairy Cakes’ has been born.
