This week offered me lessons in life. With great friendship and a generosity of spirit that I value enormously. Working as a solo baker, self employed, one man band can be very lonely. Very.

The week dipped when a rather big event was postponed - only the weather was to blame and it was most definitely the RIGHT decision

It left me with a huge amount of food that can’t be frozen (I don’t sell it if it has been) …

I called the incredibly generous to ask whether I could pop up there this Saturday - very short notice! And Emily said come on …..

Being fairly confident I’d not be able to get rid of ALL the food that I’d cooked - I called and asked if there may be a space for me at the open farm on Sunday … yes there was - organised within minutes

A message from offered me the use of her (clothes) shop hatch

I have been touched and rather humbled by the help that I have been offered this weekend - so thank you all of you guys - you make it worth it!

Saturday and the gorgeous Emily has kindly allowed me to take my goodies to Waterston Farm Shop so I’m off there from 9 - 1 pm with much food including lime & blueberry almond cake, gala pie and many other baked goods ….
