Unfortunately my little business, Bakeology will be adding to the increasing number of small business’ closing due to a few factors, but essentially because it makes very little profit for the work I put in.
At this point in my life I want to be able to enjoy the family we have created which I feel blessed to have had and feel safe with financial stability which means getting a ‘real job’. Unfortunately working hours elsewhere will mean every moment I’m home I want to be present, so no whipping up cakes in my down time, unless it’s to eat myself around the table with friends and family.
I cannot thank all my customers enough, I’ve met some incredible people on my 7 year Bakeology journey 💫

I will still be producing until I’ve depleted my stock levels, you can still order & i’ll still be stocking and I’ll let you all know when that has all come to an end but I would guess by the end of the month 😞

Honestly -
Tonight I’ve had 6 cakes to make, I always save them until after the kids are in bed because I don’t get time in the day. I’ve put them both to bed, and resettled them a total of 7 times.
These 6 cakes will mean I work way longer than I want to be after a hectic day and a rubbish nights sleep, for HALF of minimum wage. 6 cakes a day for me is too much, but even that is not even close to giving me minimum wage!
My partner works an extra job in the evening to support us as I feel I can’t go out to get a ‘proper job’ as I still breast feed on demand.
This isn’t a pity party as I know everyone is struggling so much right now, but just a brain dump of a snippet of what’s going on in my head! 😩

Anyway, time for a coffee & we go on! ☕️
