As much as I love the Tiramisu Tart, the warm weather is screaming out for citrus fresh lemon! 🍋 so we’ll swap out the tart special for the coming weeks.

I’ve adored for a long time since watching him on tv and definitely class him as one of my “food heroes”. His lemon tart recipe is a knockout! The lemon cream is steeped overnight with all the zest, so maximum flavour with just the right amount of tartness from the juice. We brûlée the top, because we love abit of char!

Whole tarts are also available for preorder too!

Full Time Baker

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic baker to join our team.

Previous kitchen experience in pastry or bread baking is ideal. This is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of baking. From making croissants from scratch through to learning all about sourdough fermentation. This position is suited to someone who is looking to develop their skill set in baking.

Working days are between Tuesday - Sunday, 2 days off a week, but open to flexibility.

Early morning starts from 6am. Typical working shift is 6am - 2pm. Ability to carry out physical work.

Able to commute for early starts is essential.

Good rates of pay depending on experience.

Our bread.

We take turns to make the bread and pastry everyday, it makes our work and days feel less monotonous. So everyday the bread is crafted by someone different.

We shape every loaf by hand, which makes each one unique and no two loaves are ever the same. It relies heavily on baker’s intuition and experience. Everyone has a slightly different technique and I often describe each baker is on their own bread journey. To find what works for them and what doesn’t.

Sourdough is beyond temperamental and because it’s a 3 day process, the win finally comes from the bake, when we open the oven door to reveal the perfect loaf with good volume, a lovely shape and with great colour.

So every morning, we congratulate the baker and between us we celebrate the small wins. Knowing we done our job with love and care, and our regulars can walk away with a loaf we’re proud of making.
