Going out with a bang! My last cake of 2021 and this was a biggy. I was asked to make a special wedding cake with models of the happy couple in an aeroplane with their children around the base of the cake. Lots of models and lots of laughs!
The base was vanilla with homemade raspberry jam and buttercream, the middle chocolate and the top lemon, lemon curd, lemon buttercream and all cakes covered in a chocolate ganache and then finished with fondant.
Such a wonderful day to see the happy couple so in love and their family and friends so welcoming.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Turner. Wishing you a very happy married life.

Thank you to all of my customers and supporters over the past few years. I’ve had an absolute blast, enjoying some huge challenges from making bust cakes to fire engines, and winning Gold at Cake International both times I entered!
Most of all I have met some absolutely wonderful people for whom I’ve had the honour of making some very special cakes.
Current orders will be honoured of course, but it’s now time for me to hang up my oven gloves and concentrate on my new pottery business over at Potoddity.

It was a great pleasure to make a sofa cake for this lovely man’s 60th birthday! The sofa is all scrummy vanilla cake, buttercream and white chocolate ganache and topped with an all-edible figure too.

I was delighted to be asked to make a Grand Piano cake for a birthday girl, but I definitely underestimated the planning and scale drawings needed to make it work - it was an engineering feat on a grand scale (see what I did there?)! 🎵

Flash-back to when parties were still happening and my first ever bust-cake! I loved every second of trying to get the likeness of Dick Van-Dyke’s cheeky smile.
Here are progress pictures of the work in progress, from the humble start of a solitary piece of hardware, drilled into a large heavy-weight board to take the weight of the cake, to the gradual build-up of modelling chocolate to build his features, the addition of hand-made edible eyes and the colouring and highlighting to bring out his character. Then for building his body with lashings of cake, buttercream and ganache, then finally dressing him in his white coat, complete with shirt, hand painted tie, badge and Doctorly instruments.
I wish I could make one of these every week!

I was honoured to be asked to make a cake for someone I went to school with over 40 years ago! This fantastic gent loves Cheltenham horse racing and poker hence the design of this cake. If you can’t go to Cheltenham, we’ll bring Cheltenham to you!
Happy 50th birthday to my old friend Matthew! I hope you enjoy the deliciousness of this vanilla cake with raspberry jam, buttercream and white chocolate ganache. 🎂😘

Our Story

I’ve always loved making birthday cakes for my children. They would run down the stairs to the kitchen and I would delight in seeing the joy on their faces when they saw my creations!

Now taking commissions from new customers, family, and friends via my Facebook and Instagram pages, I make only 1 or 2 cakes a week as they really are a labour of love and take at least 2 full days to make. I like them to be spectacular and perfect and take pride in providing a work of art that not only looks good, but tastes delicious too.

If you are looking for a cake-maker to provide you with something different, then you’ve come to the right place. I love to be challenged and specialise in carved cakes, cake toppers and sculptures, one of which won GOLD at my very first Cake International competition!
