Most people don’t realise they’re burning out until their body, mind, or relationships start waving the white flag.

That’s why conversations like this matter.

I recently had the opportunity to appear on a podcast hosted by Lynda Rose where we talked about the quieter side of burnout.

Not just exhaustion…
but the pressure of
always holding it together,
constantly performing,
and slowly losing connection with yourself in the process.

What if……..

Here’s a novel thought….

What if I was to tell you that I believe you already have everything you need inside you to succeed at whatever you decide to in lifeđź’ˇ

Finding that hard to believe?

That’s probably because your self belief has taken a few knocks and dents as you have travelled through life so far, but self belief can be rebuilt with some energy and focus directed to the right places 💝

Think of your self belief as a seed (you know I love a nature analogy)
a seed will lay dormant until you plant it in the soil that contains the right mix of nutrients it needs,
add in some extra nurturing with light and water and the warmth of the sun
and you have created the right set of conditions for that seed to break through its protective covering
To venture out and up towards the light as a delicate seedling🌱

It’s only by creating the right conditions and nurturing that things grow and I am great at creating those conditions through coaching…

You don’t need a full plan.
You might just need 20 minutes.

If leadership has started to feel heavier than it used to, you don’t need to leap into a programme to explore that.

Sometimes what helps most is a short, honest conversation.

A space to:
• pause
• zoom out
• look at a couple of areas of your wellbeing
• identify one or two practical shifts you could begin straight away

No pressure.
No fixing.
Just clarity and direction.

Mindset Top Tip đź§ 

Feeling daunted about something and unsure how to get started?

Break it down into smaller less scary chunks……
like ingredients in a recipe you are creating

- baby step + baby step = forward progress

- throw in consistency and you build a new habit that sticks

= recipe for success

Press the Pause….
Add in reflection as an extra ingredient.

How often do you stop to look back on all you have achieved and think of all those baby steps you are still taking towards where you want to go?

I am guessing not often enough…

One ask of you today, reflect back on who you were and how you showed up a year ago, then fast forward to today, what’s changed?

What can you give yourself credit for today?

What learns can you take from that past success and recreate this time round, what have you learnt won’t work for you?

There comes a point in life where constantly performing who you think you “should” be becomes more exhausting than being yourself.

And that’s often where the real shift begins.

Not with a dramatic breakthrough.
But with a quiet awareness that something inside you no longer wants to keep shrinking to fit everyone else’s expectations.

You start noticing the tension.

The mask that feels heavier.
The overthinking.
The way you say yes when your whole body means no.

You realise you’ve spent years adapting, achieving, coping, carrying…
without stopping to ask whether the version of success you’ve been chasing even feels good to you anymore.

That realisation can feel uncomfortable at first.

Because growth often asks us to let go before we fully know what’s next.

Old identities.
Old roles.
Old ways of surviving.

But there’s something incredibly freeing about no longer abandoning yourself just to keep everyone else comfortable.

And maybe that’s what this season is really about.

Not becoming someone new.
