I have been so busy that I didn’t have time to pre plan this years Christmas cake so I winged it using some of our decorations that didn’t make it onto the Christmas tree 🎄 and a takeaway coffee cup. I didn’t get a chance to make a cake last year as I was in South Africa but I had already started soaking the fruit for a cake beforehand. The fruit in this cake has been soaked in brandy for over a year now. Hopefully will make for a moist, yummy cake 😋

Saddened to hear of the passing of Eddie Spence. Known as ‘the king of Royal Icing’, I have long admired his work. He made many celebration cakes for the Royal Family, including the Queens golden wedding anniversary cake and the wedding cake of Charles and Diana. His designs were intricate and had a massive wow factor. RIP to a legend in the cake decorating world. Condolences to his family 💔

Personalised 'Hey Duggee' cake for a first birthday. This cake was a vanilla sponge with a strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling.
The customer was very happy with the cake and sent me a photo of it set up for the party (see comments)
