Another pretty successful day at in High Wycombe today.

I came home with only this jar of 1 doughnut and 5 cookies. I made twice as many doughnuts to my usual and still they disappeared.

Now me and my family are going to tuck into what remains, and I’m going to sleep well tonight!

Thanks to everyone who supported today - really means a lot when I get all this great feedback 🙌

Yesterday’s loaf of the week - chocolate baileys with cream cheese frosting and walnut topping.

Needless to say, there is none left today 🤤

As a family, we have the tradition of the Sunday roast and today I was asked to make a cake for dessert.

Went with lemon and blueberry loaf cake. Rustic and ready to tuck in! It smells delicious - so now I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to this or the Yorkshire puddings more 🤷‍♀️

Anyone else made a dessert to go with their dinner today?

PINK CARAMEL SHORTBREADS 🥰

It’s been a while since I posted/updated/added new treats to the bakery. In honesty, I’ve just been so busy and haven’t been able to put too much time to doing any more than just forfilling the orders coming in.

But these are on the site now, available as of this week. They taste almost exactly like the regular shortbreads, but they’re made with Ruby chocolate which has no colour additives - the beans just make pink chocolate. How cool!

It’s 2021 🥳

One of the good things that 2020 did present me with was the challenge of Veganuary - being vegan for a month. I loved it and from taking part last year I started new eating habits, became far more aware of what goes in my food, and took a new interest in making tasty treats without animal products.

While it didn’t convert me fully, I do often find myself choosing vegan dishes if I like the sound of them, when before they wouldn’t have even been looked at.

So this year I’m taking up the challenge again and promoting the cause. Therefore, all vegan friendly items in my online bakery have a 10% discount and any regular item will received a free VF cookie in the box, just for a taster.

Happy New Year!

It’s been one to remember... there has obviously been a lot of negative things happening around us and affecting us. But I truly believe 2020 was a year of positive change for me.

Jadeinaboxbakes went from a hobby account, to a successful charity fundraiser, to now being a fully fledged online bakery and market stall.

To all those who have supported whether you found out about my baking yesterday or followed from the start, thank you for support and may we all have a happy and successful 2021.

And remember that it’s all about the journey and not just the destination.
