rose milk made with real roses 🌹
There’s something almost timeless about roses.
Soft petals drying in the kitchen, delicate floral syrup simmering on the stove, pink milk poured over ice…
It feels like the kind of ritual women have been creating for centuries.
Even Cleopatra was said to surround herself with roses for their beauty, fragrance and softness ✨
This rose milk is made with:
– soaked almonds
– homemade rose syrup
– dried rose petals
– ice
Homemade Rose Syrup 🌹
– 1 cup dried rose petals or organic fresh edible rose petals
– 1 cup water
– ¼ cup maple syrup or agave
– squeeze of lemon juice
Gently rinse the petals first.
Simmer petals and water on low heat for 10–15 mins until fragrant and deep in colour. Strain, then stir in maple syrup/agave and lemon juice while warm. Cool completely.
Rose Milk 🌸
– 10 soaked almonds
– 1½ cups cold water
– 1–2 tbsp rose syrup
– ice
Blend almonds with water until smooth and creamy. Strain if preferred. Pour over ice, stir through rose syrup and finish with dried rose petals.
A little floral beauty ritual to save for warmer days ✨
