🧁🌸Buttercream bouquets🌸🧁

My head is filled with so many buttercream bouquets design ideas. I love experimenting with different piping tips to create new flowers, playing with colour palettes and of course not forgetting the different flavour combinations of the cupcake sponge and fillings!

I’m currently experimenting with lots of new autumn inspired flavours. It’s such a bad life having to test all this cakes 😂

Can you believe that in this entire cupcake bouquet I only used 2 colours!

For this design I used gooseberry and wine red and just adjusted the intensity of the gel colours to get all these beautiful shades of pinks and greens.

I am taking orders again from the 10th September.

🌵🧁🌸Acts of kindness🌸🧁🌵

I had a very humbling experience today. I was sitting having lunch on a bench with my two young boys. A homeless gentlemen approached us and I thought he was going to ask for money.

Instead he said he’d like to give something to my boys and then put £3.25 in change on the bench. When we thanked him but insisted he kept it for himself, he replied that people were always being kind and giving him money and that he’d like to do the same for someone else. He then smiled and walked away.

He had nothing, yet gave away what he had to strangers to make them happy. 🧡

My boys chose to pay this kindness forward and donate this money to charity and help the next homeless person we met. ♥️

It was a very sobering experience and has made us all think about how we can help our community and those less fortunate than ourselves.

Buttercream sunflower cupcakes are my most requested flower, followed closely by roses.

It’s been so lovely to feel sun on my face today. I’d started to forget what that felt like!

From closed curtains, candles, and sofa blankets last night to a BBQ and eating dinner outside in the garden tonight! 😂

A top down view of last weekends dusky pink buttercream wedding cake.

The top tier was a light lemon sponge with zesty lemon curd. The bottom tier was a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.

What flavour wedding cake did you have at your wedding, or what would you choose if you were getting married?

For me it would be carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (my all time fav!) lemon cake with lemon curd and pistachio cake with lightly scented rose buttercream.

Oh but then I do love toasted coconut cake, almond & orange cake and my Matilda chocolate cake…..

Decisions, decisions!! 😋😋

🧡🧁Summer & Autumn Vibes🧁🧡

I popped out earlier to and found the most gorgeous decorative pumpkins. I know, I know, it’s still summer, BUT I just LOVE faux flowers and seasonal decor.

Today I have a test for my hubby. He doesn’t know that I have bought even more decorative pumpkins and that they are currently hidden in my boot, until such time as I can sneak them into the house and pretend I always had them.

Will he actually read my post and find out….. we will see 😂 🎃

(He always loves my seasonal decorations when they are up 😜😀)
