on offer some gluten free, fat free and lower fat cake options in my every day cake selection, after all, we should all be able to enjoy cake! Manhattan Cakes offers a selection of tray bake cakes, muffins and cookies that will include a lot of old fashioned favourites as well as modern classics. If we do not sell your ‘favourite’ then let me know and I will do my best to recreate it. If it becomes a popular seller then I may keep it as a permanent choice and will name it after you. ie: ‘Bob’s Favourite’
Celebration cakes
Your celebration takes a lot to organise and the cake is just as important as every other detail – whether you desire simplicity or grandeur–it should literally be ‘The icing on the cake’ for your occasion. Manhattan Cakes provides a flexible evening appointment arrangement. If you require a special cake, please contact me to book a time suitable to you, when we can sit down and discuss your requirements. If you are bringing along a partner, friend or family member to help you with your choice, let us know and we will provide seating and cake samplers for you all. Weddings- wedding cakes don’t have to be traditional – does your wedding have a theme? If you wish for a unique design then come and discuss it with me and I will do my best to create your dream cake. Engagement – To mark the happy couple’s special announcement with their names and special date. Birthdays – numerical cakes, themed cakes, come and discuss your requirements with me. Christenings - Pink or Blue or whatever colour you desire, along with themed decoration, name and date if required. You choose how you wish this special day to be marked. Anniversaries– Every kind of anniversary is a celebration. Marking it with a cake can be the perfect gift to someone or yourself! Do you wish to recreate your parent’s vintage wedding cake – what would be more personal than that? Manhattan Cakes can do this for you. Traditional Royal Icing was the icing of the vintage era –let me recreate those memories for you.
‘Say it with a Cake’ Cake – Have you ever been stuck for a gift idea for those other occasions? Do you want to say ‘Thank you’, ‘Good Luck’, ‘Sorry’ or ‘Congratulations’ or even ‘Will you Marry Me?’ – let me know your message and I will write it. Giving a cake like this really couldn’t be any more personal and is so unique! If I feel I cannot accommodate an idea you have then I will say so and aim to offer an alternative for you. Halloween cakes – decorated cupcakes will be available. If you require a large order (over 30) of themed cupcakes – I may need at least 3 days notice. Cookies – all butter shortbread cookies available every day. Cake Stand Hire – Various tiered Cake stands for showcasing your special cake. Homemade Jams and Marmalades - Come into the shop to see our selection. Locally produced honey – produced by Widley Bees – did you know that eating honey that has been produced by your local bees is a great way to help Hayfever sufferers. It is also known to have a calming effect. Why not try honey on toast, in a sandwich, in porridge or just from the spoon! Delicious and sweet.
