How can my oldest be 15 already?!?

So here we have it. A Dexter cake complete with edible blood splatter. IYKYK 😁 Double chocolate, fondant and cornsyrup blood.

I can hardly believe that my youngest will be 9 tomorrow!!

He’s asked me for a “Rainbow Friends” cake the last couple years but I have been reluctant to oblige. Partly because I’m not keen on the game and also because a rainbow cake felt daunting.

Imagine my surprise when I not only conceded this year and then went and pulled it off 😆

So we have a chocolate cake with mocha buttercream, as per the birthday boys request, but rainbow vanilla buttercream decoration and fondant lettering.

Happy Birthday, my special boy! Hope your day is every bit the day you deserve and then some!

I was ridiculously excited to be doing an Eminem cake for Lyla’s birthday and am so happy with the turnout!

This cake is just so joyful and happy! I had fun making the unicorn and rainbow, almost felt young again 😆 despite facing my nemesis fondant!

Here we have chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache, decorated with fondant and complete with cake pop balls on top.

I truly hope the birthday girl enjoyed this and had the very best birthday! Hayley Plenty

I had to go over to the Dark Side to make this one! Here we have a delectable and not at all Chewy, double chocolate cake covered in fondant with Cake Pop and fondant Darth Vader head for Alfies 9th Birthday! (Don’t hate me, I couldn’t resist!) 😆

This cake was so much fun to make and I actually squealed with glee at the chance to take this one on!

Another that pushed me out of my comfort zone but turned out so well!

So a little backstory, I’ve known the lovely lady who asked me to make this since I was about 7 years old and she’s one of few people that seemed to actually give a damn that I was back in the UK 😆 she’s been so lovely.

So when she said she wanted a cake for her equally lovely hubby, I couldn’t wait to get started.

Vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam with fondant mototcycle and wheel decoration.

This cake may be simple, but it’s made with no less love for a remarkable young man, who happens to be dating my daughter! 😆

When I asked what he wanted, this is what he requested. Nothing fancy. He clearly has taste though!

So, a classic Victoria Sponge with strawberry jam and fresh whipped cream with icing sugar on top.
