Creating content when you have chronic illnesses is so difficult, especially with side effects from medication. But we can get cosy, look after ourselves and enjoy slowing down. Because self care is more important sometimes ✨

Meet the hens - number 3

This is Eggatha Christie, she’s a very dark bluebell hen. She is the one who calls at us the most when she sees us in the garden, and her favourite snack is lettuce. She lays pale brown eggs 🥰

Meet the hens - Ivy

Affectionately known as sh****ce because she looks so mean! She is a real reminder than chickens are dinosaurs and identifies as a bird of prey. However she is probably the sweetest hen we own. She is a silver Sussex and lays light brown eggs ✨

Meet the hens 🐓

Hen number 2 is Dolly, formal name Dolly Parthen due to her big hair (like Dolly Parton✨) she is an olive egger, very friendly and lays gorgeous green eggs. She will follow you around, run towards you if you rattle a bag of treats and happily sit on your lap🖤

Meet the girls!🐓
this is Chicken Nugget, our skyline hen. She’s probably the least friendly of the bunch, not that she attacks us or anything she just reeeeally doesn’t want to be near people. She lays these pretty blue eggs and is our only hen with brown feathers!

All of our girls were from The Hatch Shed and have been amazing ✨
