I think it's high time I introduced the face behind Cakes by K 🧁

My name is Kiran hence the K in Cakes by K.

I started my cake baking and decorating journey in 2001 after being inspired by my sister’s work colleague who made the most beautiful cakes with intricate sugar flowers. I was so memerised by her work that I attended a part time evening course to learn how to make such intricate flowers and how to ice cakes. Since then I have been on many mini courses where I learnt how to make flowers and other edible cake toppers.

Over the years I have made wedding and birthday cakes on order. I even braved entering the cupcake competition but during Covid things came to a halt and I stopped due life taking a bit of an unexpected turn as I navigated my way through my divorce however I kept getting orders and here I am back again doing what I enjoy part time making beautiful and tasty cakes. I am a self taught cake maker that is passionate about experimenting with flavours and designs. Let's see where my journey goes this time round.
