✨ A little reminder when choosing someone to make your celebration cakes and treats… ✨
When you’re booking a baker, please don’t base your decision on price alone.
Before placing an order, it’s worth checking that your baker is:
🎂 Registered with their local authority.
🎂 Following food hygiene regulations and maintaining safe food standards.
🎂 Fully insured with public and product liability insurance.
🎂 Registered as self-employed (where required) and running a legitimate business.
🎂 Knowledgeable about allergens and food safety.
I’ve worked incredibly hard to build my business and get to where I am today. From registering my business and gaining the correct certifications to investing in insurance, equipment, ingredients and continually improving my skills, every step has been taken to ensure I provide a safe, professional and reliable service.
It’s wonderful to see more people discovering a love for baking, but unfortunately there are also many “new” bakers selling cakes without being properly registered, insured or following the legal requirements of running a food business. These rules are there to protect both the baker and the customer.
As a customer, you should never feel awkward about asking a baker if they’re registered, insured or compliant with food safety regulations. Any genuine baker will be more than happy to provide that information.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support my small business. Your trust means the world to me, and I never take it for granted. ❤️
